IFS International Food Standard
The IFS was developed in 2003 as a quality and food safety standard for retailers' own brands. It serves as uniform verification of food safety and quality levels of food manufacturers and is now used for both industrial and retail brands. The quality management system itself, personnel hygiene, the manufacturing process, and product protection are just a few aspects of the extensive inspection program. Every year, external, accredited, and independent certification bodies verify that all criteria are met. FARÜCHOC has been IFS certified since 2003 and exceeds the set requirements.
HACCP
HACCP is the acronym for "Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points" and stands for hazard analysis and control of critical points at all stages of food preparation, processing, manufacturing, packaging, storage, transportation, distribution, handling, and sale. The main objective of HACCP is to ensure consumer health by avoiding potential hazards in production. For many years now, FARÜCHOC has implemented a detailed HACCP concept for minimizing health hazards.
Rainforest Alliance
The Rainforest Alliance bases its certification program on three pillars of sustainability: social, economic, and environmental. Based on these three criteria, independent auditors verify the conditions under which products or ingredients bearing the Rainforest Alliance logo are manufactured.
